#353 Create a BIRT Feature to eliminate unnecessary dependencies com.verticon.tracker.builder desktop.unscheduled enhancement 03/26/09

Adding support for BIRT reporting with Tracker requires the addition of the BIRT Report Designer which includes the BIRT Report Previewer components. In the 0.3.x releases this is achieved through loading the BIRT Report Designer via the Software Updates from the public P2 repositories. This installation process brings in too many unnecessary features and plugs like the JDT features as well as other developer based dependencies.

Create a BIRT Feature that specifies only the necessary plugins to get the Report Designer functionality that is similar to the Report Designer RCP.

#163 Add user preference for setting current selection to last received event com.verticon.tracker.editor desktop.unscheduled enhancement 02/25/08

When new events are received on the Tracker Transaction Editor from external sources the current selected element in the Editor does not change. This is a design decision based on a 'Production line' use case. For the 'Production Line use case, several events may be received from the production line readers while the tracker tool user is typing in changes to a previous event. If the user is watching the Event table these new events can be seen popping up on the top (or arriving at the bottom) as new rows in the Event table and conveniently dealt with by the user as time permits.

For the Single Operator use case where one person is both scanning tags and manipulating the software it is more efficient (and intuitively satisfying) to have the newly received and added Events be automatically selected in the Tracker Editor.

The choice of Single Operator or Production Line functionality is now available as a user preference.

#314 Provide a Webstart Installer com.verticon.tracker.builder desktop.unscheduled enhancement 02/10/09

Create a Java Webstart alternative to provide an user friendly way to install Tracker software from a web browser.

See: http://www.toedter.com/blog/?p=45

#328 Create an all-in-one product for development com.verticon.tracker.builder desktop.unscheduled enhancement 02/21/09

Features are not installed initially in the Tracker Desktop product. For development purposes, create a product for testing all the features and services.

#337 Integrate the com.verticon.ant.utilities in to the build context. com.verticon.tracker.help desktop.unscheduled defect 03/07/09

com.verticon.ant.utilities contains the Ant XIncludeTask used by the com.verticon.tracker.documentation project. Integrate this project into Buckminster building context. See Ticket #335.

#318 Add documentation topic on how to use BIRT tools com.verticon.tracker.birt desktop.unscheduled enhancement 02/11/09

Starting with 0.3.1 release the Tracker Desktop is not bundling features in the initial product download. Tracker Features as well as features such as the BIRT runtime and designer will need to be provisioned from network repositories.

Provide a HowTo? on provisioning and using BIRT.

Note: See TracReports for help on using and creating reports.
